2005 North American Solar Challenge
Winnipeg, Manitoba

The 2005 North American Solar Challenge will have a stage stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Teams will finish Stage 2 at Red River College from July 21-23. On July 24, the start line for Stage 3 will be held at the Manitoba Legislative Building. Teams will depart in one minute intervals beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The public is welcome to view the cars and talk to the teams.

Stage Location

Red River College is hosting the Stage 2 Finish.

The Province of Manitoba is hosting the Stage 3 Start at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

The solar cars will be in Winnipeg on July 21-24. The exact arrival time of the first car will vary depending on the weather. During the rayce, updates on team locations will be available on the Recent Sightings page.

Note: Stage 2 close adjusted (+1h) due to detour after Fargo, ND.

Estimated Open Time - It is unlikely that the first solar car will arrive before this time. The actual arrival time will likely be a bit later and will depend on traffic and weather.

Stage Activities - Solar cars will be on display in a charging area at Red River College during the day. The stage finish line is open from approximately 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. After crossing the finish line, solar cars will be on display in a charging area at Red River College from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Stage 3 Start - Solar cars will be released in one minute intervals.
