Battery Protection System


TESTING PROCEDURE DOCUMENT

ASC inspectors have developed a procedure for testing battery protection systems during NASC2005 Scrutineering. The final draft of the instructions is available below.

  • Battery Protection System Testing Procedure


    Please note that once a team submits its battery form, manufacturer's spec sheet, and preliminary BPS design, the electrical inspector can begin a dialogue with the team about the pack and any protection issues. We continue to strongly encourage teams to send this information as early as possible so they can have feedback on their plans prior to purchasing batteries and building protection systems.
