Regulation 5.4 |
| Question: |
|
According to regulation 5.4, when a solar car is in a charging orientation the “box” may have any orientation relative to the ground. By rotating the box it is possible to obtain several more square meters of area for cells. For example, if the box were to be rotated 45 degrees about the length axis of the car, several additional square meters of array could be deployed from the sides of the car- yet the car and additional array area would still fit within the box. Is this an acceptable practice, or is the intention of the regulation that the array shape stay static?
