The Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix starts today at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, KS with 11 competing teams! For the first 3 days teams will be put through a series of static and dynamic inspections known as scrutineering. Teams must pass all stations before being allowed on the track. On Friday, solar cars will take the track for 3 days of racing. The cars are on the track for 8 hours each day with additional time available for charging in the morning and evening.
